View Full Version : Rango's looking good! *Pic heavy*

I took Rango out a couple of nights ago and was so impressed. Her color is brightening up and she looks so beautiful. She has more orange freckles on her tail every few weeks. She's not as tame as I was hoping she'd be by now, but she puts up with me for a few minutes before I get the "I am done, leave me alone!" growl. It's an impressive growl for such a small creature!! The first time she did it I jumped and nearly dropped her!

Rango sure is a beauty. I didn't know lizards made a growl sound? Usually when I have seen them in the wild they a scooting here & there. :)

At our farmers market a lady had a lizard on her shoulder named Rue. She said she takes him to rest homes, schools, etc., to visit people. He was very gentle & she got him a special treat at the market which was kale.

Aww, sounds like Rue was probably a bearded dragon, I had one years ago and she loved Kale!

Geckos are the only lizards I know of that vocalize. Here's a video I found of a teeny baby leopard gecko growling at his person.

Why hello beautiful Rango! Your looking pretty good must I say. :)

I didn't know lizards growled either. And I sure didn't know they growled like that! :eek:

Hee hee, I must say, it was a big surprise the first time I heard it! It's a big noise for such a tiny creature!
