I'm sorting out some collected stuff, and found this cable.

At one end it is a regular phone cable, with a coupler that a phone cord would plug into. Then, about 50 feet later (!), it ends with three skinny wires that each have an RCA plug on them - red, yellow, white.

I am very curious about this critter!

Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is a phone connector to a receiver for a satellite dish. Old time. And that is a wild @$$ guess.

Sounds like a proprietary terminal cable. DEC used RCA connectors for external monitors in some cases, and used cat-3 for keyboard connectors to the terminals. There were so many proprietary standards for connectors and cables before PS2, SCSI and other common connectors became standards it's hard to tell.
