Easter Sunrise

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/sunrisin1.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/sunrisin2.JPGSun getting starting to come up on Easter Sunday and the sun rising during the Easter sunrise service we had at Providence Cemetary East of town.We got up At 5:30,service was at 6:30,it was chilly 37F and windy,should have had a hat and gloves.Reverend Dayfoot is the man wearing the coat and Black hat in the second picture,had 30-35 people there.There was a Pancake breakfast church afterwards,Mom had things to get ready for Easter dinner or we would have gone,maybe next year.We sang a few Hymns,not sure if i would do it again,by the end of the day I was really tired,at our Easter service at church,I was nodding off,Mom tried giving me a look.

When I was growing up, our church youth group used to go to sunrise services at a lighthouse just outside of Rocky Point (RI), that looked out over the bay. I guess that's when my love of lighthouses was born. I especially love the sunrise services that are held by the ocean - it's most always a spectacular sight as long as the weather cooperates.
