Seems she has been here 5 weeks lol.

About 5 weeks ago i inquired about a Border Collie pup that was being given away, i could not help myself and just out of curiosity went to meet her. Well long story short the following night i went and picked her up and bought her home. Her name was Dora but she now goes by Dawes/ Dawesey. She is about 6 months old so i have missed her little baby stage :(.

It has taken her a bit to fully settle in but now it is like she has been here forever. I adore her, she is cute, crazy, nuts, but gorgeous. she is certainly not what i would have picked for another BC, for one she is a girl and i swore i'd only have boys from now on lol. And i prefer mainly blacks and certainly no blue eyes. It was meant to be and now i think she is the cutest.

Yeah they are all getting along realy well. Elvie has resorted back to playing like a puppy again which is great seems he used to spend all day in his bed :eek:.

On good Friday we went to a herding day, i was not going to give the pup a go but am so glad i did :).


Natural born sheep dawg. She had never seen sheep before and is about 7 months old :eek:.

I thought i'd better give an update on the girl seems she has had a name change and is growing up lol.

Karen she was not responding at all to her old name, within a cuple of days of calling her Luna we had a pretty reliable recall, eye contact and a dog that would interact :). That and i began to hate the name Dawes lol.

I think she is pretty much done growing now, might fill out a bit more though.

I have not given an update on loopy Luna in a while. She is about 15 months old now and one of the best dogs. Typical working type lazy at home when there is nothing happening but if I ask her to do something she is up and ready to go :).

Unfortunately she was attacked by a stray dog nearly 2 weeks ago so that was a bit of a shock to her and horrified me. She is ok physically though, not so great mentally when she hears or see's strange dogs :(. So we are just going back to basics and will have to re socialise her and get her out and about as much as possible.

I would add some recent photos but can't from the iPad :(.

I have no intention of updating it ;).

Scary, it was terrifying thinking my dog was going to be killed :(. Just lucky she is a young very fast and agile dog and was able to get away whilst we caught the other dog.

And what do we wake up to today. A little dog was mauled to death by 2 dogs at one of our regular 'safe' walking areas. There is now no where safe to walk them.

Hopefully she will come around and be ok. I will be glad when this year is over :(.

Poor pup! She sure is precious and I'm late, but congrats! I'm sure with your help and being so young it's something you two can get over.
