I just saw an e-mail saying Hank the Cat is running for the U.S. Senate. This 9 year old feline from Springfield, Virginia describes himself as a "proud independent with real world experience" and his campaign is gaining momentum. This adorable feline is running against former Virginia governors George Allen and Time Kaine. You can learn more about his campaign at Hankforsenate.com or Hank's Facebook page.

:love::love:
I think that Hank the Cat would look good in the senate. And with his capacity for sleep and flirting with the Ladies and dining lavishly , Hank would fit right in.:cool::cool:
Although Hank may be too honest for politics;);)

I’ve said in public appearances and in interviews that over half of the ads put out for the recent race to the White House have been attack ads. According to a study done by the Wesleyan Media Project, my estimates are wrong - the number is actually around 70%. This is truly dismaying and reflects directly on the state of politics in this great nation.
Imagine, if you will, a person interviewing for a job not by touting their skills and experience, but by trashing the other applicants. A hiring manager would thank them for their time, file away their resume, and move on to someone with real qualifications. We are the hiring managers for our political offices, and we as voters should make it clear that you are not going to get hired by dodging your own record and trashing those of your opponents. We want the best person for the job - not someone who thinks they’re on a reality show.

I am all for Hank:) He is by far the most handsome candidate I have ever seen. I wonder whether he has a sister who could be sent over to us;)

He looks pretty smart, and handsome too. Maybe the presidency is in his future as well.

I wanted to "like" this post. I must be addicted to FaceBook.

His managers would make excellent candidates.

I thought the canine attack ads were hilarious.

Apparently our kitties are not happy about the cheap shots from Canines For A Feline Free Tomorrow. From what Groucho says, Hank's campaign is a hot topic at Cat Court. I heard Groucho on his cell phone with his Catmobile cohorts, they're going to put "Hank for Senate" bumper stickers on the Catmobile along with a few large signs. There's also a plan in the works for them to go to Virginia for Hank's rally then do some campaigning for him.
