Hi Friends...I have a favor to ask. Wondering if you'll light a few candles tonight in memory of a 14 year old from Labrador who had gotten lost last Sunday. Helicopters weren't sent to find him until Tuesday night. He had gotten lost and went 15 miles out on ice and walked an additional 19 km after his ski doo ran out of gas. Needless to say he had gotten tired and when it got dark he stopped for the night and died of hypothermia. His funeral is today and all of us are lighting candles to make sure that he finds his way home finally. He searched to get there in life so let's help him get to where he so desperately wanted & needed to go in his afterlife. Thank you all so much. ♥

The search had been carried out by family, friends & other community members on foot and by snowmobile since Sunday evening. The reason I have some details that have not been released is because my brother's fiancée is from the community. I also know the boy's name but have been asked to not release that. Thank you again ♥

This was from a candle ceremony last night. They lit & released some Chinese lanterns for Burton. It seems this was quite a success overall. They had candles lit all over the world. It's beautiful that people can come together in such a tragedy but so sad that 14 year old Burton Winters has been called 'home' so young.

Tragic, indeed. May Burton RIP, having found his way "home". :(
