The first is Libre Office. Some of the Open Office developers split and used the basic code of OO, but built their own. I had heard of it, but a fellow tech's raving about it has me downloading it and trying it out. Apparently the Excel compatibility is much better than OO, so I'll give it a go! It will run on Windows 2000 and up, Linux and Mac.

The second item is Comodo Antivirus. As with other free versions, it has paid options.

My Comodo download came with Comodo's program Geek Buddy. It's free for 2 months, then for a yearly subscription of about $50.00 you can connect online and have a Comodo technician help you with computer problems!
