I got home after being out for a while, and what did I find but a full Scottish celebration in progress. Today is the birthday of Robert Burns!

All the kits were dressed in their kilts and sporrans, Bob and Sydney were piping away (I could hear them halfway down the block), and Miss Sparkler was dancing her little toesies off.

They assure me this is good practice for the Super Bowl, too!

Oh Pat, thank you so very much for the reminder! I majored in English Literature and Bobbie Burns is one of my favorite poets. It also explains a phone call I got from Groucho earlier while he was at Cat Court. Apparently, Groucho and a few of the other PT revelers jumped on AMTRACK and are headed your way. Be warned though, he's bringing his fiddle and mumbled something about a new tartan hat. This morning he was rather insistent about getting to the Haggis In A Hurry Shoppe as they opened for business. That takes care of dinner tonight - Haggis Helper!

This is Oscar's first Burns Night with us. He is clamouring for a plate of haggis!
Let's hope he doesn't take up the pipes any time soon!!

Cassie is hoping for cock-a-leekie because that means she will get to eat some chicken!

And who will be leading the recitation of the favorite Burns' poetry? I have visited Glasgow, and even had one forkful of haggis, as my former boss' wife said I must, or no one would believe I'd been to Scotland!

Our Found Cats are a little leary of Haggis, but love the black pudding and scottish sausages , and other scottish treats.
They were practicing thier highland fling as I left , and they were quite good!!
