Cameron and I made some neat pipecleaner and feather toys last week.

I thought they were pretty cool, and I was sure the cats would love them. I was sooooo very, very wrong. They prefer the left over pipecleaners that went into making the toys. Hubby and I gather pipecleaners, put them on the top shelf, they get knocked over. We pick them up, they get knocked over. All. Day. Long. Best $1.99 I ever spent. :) Kitties get fun, I get exercise bending down and scooping up pipecleaners. :p

We will never always get things right with our Ctas, I wish I had a dollar for toys that I bought that I was sure that the Found Cats would just love.:):)
Actually Josephine of Many Nmaes and the New Found Cats are having a field day with the Toys, I am sure that they have never had Toys to play with before:love::love:

Isn't that typical! At least they love the left over pipe cleaners. :D

The toy ones looks great, I bet some cats would love them. :)

Oh my what a great photo thread, but "it's raining pipe cleaners" really got me laughing. How typical! My cats love to push something off a table, counter, etc and then lean over and watch it drop.

Hi Callie, aren't you lucky the folks made cat toys? He he he he heeeee

LOL! You don't know how those pictures made me laugh. What little stinkers they are. Too funny!!! One knocking them down and the other batting at them. I must see if I have some pipe cleaners left from when my kids were little. Thanks for the smiles today. :)

Dear Auntie Catnapper,

Fevvers make me sneeze. I LOVE to play wiff pipe cleaners, though! If you wrap it around a pencil first so it is curly, and then set it on the edge of the table, I can swat at it. Good fun!

Could you please give some lovies to the kitties and Callie for me, meowmie and I are praying for Pouncer

Purrs,
Cassie

Cute pictures.:) Of course the cats would decide to play with simple things like pipe cleaners. Mine love them too. I would bend them into circles or make spiders out of them. They eventually wore them out because they loved them so much.:) Callie thinks she's a big cat.LOL;)

The only "bought" toys my cats like are catnip mice. Other than that, paper bags, boxes, plastic bottle caps, or pencils are what they consider "toys".

At least you know you don't need to spend a fortune on cat toys! ;) It looks like they're having a blast with the pipe cleaners... Well who wouldn't? :D

Cat toys are made for people to buy something for the cats - the cats, in general, seem to prefer the bag it comes home in, the box it came out of ... etc. etc. My old coworker JD used to every week save paper bags from their grocery shopping, and set them up empt around the kitchen, and their black kitty Salem would have a blast hopping in and out, knocking them over, hiding in them, etc.

"Found toys" like a human's ponytail holder, figurine, something shining left on a shelf also seems to hold a huge attraction.

Spunky loves the paper bag or box that he can snuggle in. Milk and water jug rings are a hoot esp as pucks in bathtub stopper hockey. Or the hanging belt on my bathrobe.
