Just got back from the vet. Boscoe my Maine Coon will be getting his teeth cleaned next Friday. He will be put under and have the whole treatment done including floride. Bill $255.00. Is this what you guys pay also?

That's about right for here; over age 7 they also need a senior blood work up before any anesthesia.

If you have a not for profit vet in your area, that will save you money.

Also, feeding grain free helps alot in preventing tartar. A L O T.

Yesss!! Grain free prevents most tartar from forming. My cats never need a teeth cleaning. My vet is always amazed that my kitties' teeth are so clean!

I wish my cats teeth cleaning was that cheap.:( The last time Storm had his done it was probably more in the $800 range.:eek: He did have to have some teeth extracted and they took several x-rays and also a biopsy.

That is about right for a claening with no extractions.
I find that the Country Vets are more reasonable than the City Clinic Vets who have to bring in so much income each month.
