Slick wanted to know if I was 'drumming up' something for this week's bar.

I guess that makes me the Little Drummer Boy???

I think Candy Cane is in order..

2 oz. Rum (more Rum drinks)
1 oz. Strawberry Mix (more Strawberry Mix drinks)
1 oz. Pina Colada Mix (more Pina Colada Mix drinks)
dash(es) Peppermint Schnapps (more Peppermint Schnapps drinks)

Instructions
Divide the rum in two shot glass. Add the strawberry mix to one shot glass filled with rum, and the pina colada mix to the other glass filled with rum. Take a double shot glass and use a piece of metal or wood to separate the glass into two sections. Fill one side with the strawberry daiquiri, and the other side with the pina colada. Use the metal divider to swirl them together. Float the peppermint schnapps on top.

DONE!

Watch me beat those skins, Daddy-O!:D

Just a cherry root beer for me, please!!! I see homemade cookies. Did orc make those or are they safe to eat? ;)

No, they are homemade - the thing with making Christmas cookies is once you start, it's easy to just keep going until you run out of cooling rack space! ;) I'll add some gingerbread cookies, and tollhouse to the stash ...

I'll skip that drink, but will enjoy a real candy cane, please, allergen free!

That's why you either a) Buy more cooling racks or b) get some appropriately sized stock and make a cooling rack that fits over your whole table!

Rum and Diet Coke for me, please ... just like Jon Cryer's character drinks on Two and a Half Men.

Well, the neat thing is the cooling racks I have had for several years were featured on the front of a Christmas Tree Shop flyer one day, and Paul pointed it out to me saying "Did you realize they are designed to stack?" So now I can make a stack of cooling cookies, and take up less counter space! Quite handy in this smaller space we are currently in!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!

Put on tea/coffee since it's a chilly morning here. Warming up some egg nog too, I like it warmed in the early morning (no alcohol), as something different from a hot chocolate. (of course in reality I can't have it at all :().

I do however have some fabulous news to share and celebrate with everyone - I picked up my mail this am and found a letter from my lawyer, attached to it was...............THE DIVORCE CERTIFICATE! Now it's completely official. I am no longer the MRS.

:D:D:D:D:D

Those drinks sound hard, Richard! Have you ever made one successfully?

You know, I'd love an Irish coffee this afternoon and a seat by the fire. I'm going to have to think up a new description for under my username. "Specialising in grey kitties" isn't going to work any more. :( It took me an eternity to think up that one. I used to quite like being a "Pillar", but when the software changed I absolutely was not going to be a "Registered User"!

Need to think up something new.

Good night for a spot by the fire. You could go back to being a Pillar, of course!

Time for a DRINK! Barkeep, I'm supplying Champagne for the house! Just finished a 5 (thought it was 4) church choir sing of the Messiah! WHEW! My voice will recover in an hour or so (Soprano, that's why;)). It was great!

Karen

I went to a Messiah Sing last night - we don't do the whole things, so it was just 2 1/2 hours, but sing all the good stuff. Maggie, what I do is sing Soprano at the Messiah Sing, and then sing alto in the church choir the next day, so I am using different parts of my voice. If they need me on Soprano at church, I'll sing alto for the Messiah Sing. Otherwise I am pretty much done vocally for a day or so!

But it was wonderful, great fun - I go to the one run by the Masterworks Chorale, and they have an orchestra of volunteer musicians, 4 soloists, and the director conducts the whole audience as the chorus! Since Lady's Human and his crew moved west, we don't have anyone from my family in the bass section, as my older brother had to work, but we had in our family one tenor, two altos, and two sopranos!

Edited to add: And since posting that "Worthy is the Lamb" has been running through my head!

Hey, I just checked in and am very sorry to hear the news.

A toast for Sam.

-------------------

Yes, I probably could make the first drink. The ones that follow would get progressivel harder?

Cookies and drinks for all the patrons.

Sorry, I was feeling a little under the weather for the last week.

Much better now....

Hey the music in here tonight is a bit different than usual is it not? Very festive. Hope your voices recover soon, ladies. Thanks for the glass of champagne, Maggie, that's very festive too!

Karen, after I had posted it did occur to me that I could go back to being a Pillar but it doesn't make much sense without the other descriptions, and Barbara's "Pillar, crumbling" is so much funnier anyway. :D

Thanks for your toast for Sam, Richard. She was partial to the water out of a can of tuna herself. Not sure that that would go with Moff's cookies.

Well, what stone is your area famous for - you could be a "Scottish Xstone Pillar!"

Me, I'd have to be good old New England granite were I a pillar, it's certainly what my last yard grew best, as the neighborhood was built on granite ledge!

My voice is fine, when I vary the parts, it doesn't wear out at all!
