Excerpts from the Life of Brennan *Pictures*

I figured y'all would appreciate some new Brennan pictures, so here we go :D.

He's doing great :). Still not much progress with the cats, but I wasn't expecting much this fast anyway. Lily tolerates him now, though if he gets up in her face, she still growls at him. He's learned sit and down VERY well, we're working on stay and leave it. Next step after that is to work on his leash training as he's a puller, and he also has a bad habit of nipping you when he's trying to play that we're trying to get him out of. He has to be crated a lot when I'm not here, but after the 8th of December I'm home till January 11, so hopefully in that time we can get him sorted out and get his training progressed even further. He is SUCH a sweet dog and I absolutely adore him, I just hope we can work out his issues with the cats and get him under control some more.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, it's picture time!

(The green this is an octopus and it's his FAVORITE toy. He likes to carry it through the house and squeak it, as well as he play bows and gnaws on it so it squeaks :D)

They have them at our Pet Supplies Plus here, don't know if you have one near you, but if you do you can find them there. It's like $11, but they're pretty durable and Brennan LOVES his.

Oh, and I would say my cats and dogs get along fine. Still, if a dog gets in a cat's face? Oh yeah, that cat is gonna let him (yep, it is ALWAYS Willy! :p) know to BACK OFF BUSTER!

Such a handsome boy! Brennan is such a happy dog. I'm glad he's improving in obedience though, the cats may take a little time to get used to it. Once he knows leave it, I think it'll be easier for him to get used to the cats.

Yeah... hahaha. Domino has gotten to where he'll come to my bedroom door and peek in while Brennan is in his crate though, so I'm taking that as a little bit of progress.

Thanks! Yeah, I know :/, but I'm still holding out hope as he's still in the transition period! I'm trying to be patient and give it time, but if things don't work out, then they don't work out.

Yes! He reminds me a lot of her. When we were first thinking about adopting him, I put pictures of them side by side and you could see a lot of similarities. He has the exact same legs and feet that Roxy had!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Leave it is quite a challenge for him, and it seems all of his obedience training is forgotten as soon as he goes outside or gets excited :rolleyes:. I think he'll pick it up eventually, I'm just going to have to really work with him.
