The best part about these types of articles is reading people's comments.

Here are some good ones:

I guess that explains why I got such a good deal on that dehydrated water I bought on eBay.

I knew water was bad for you. I'll stick to beer now.

In other news, the EU is looking into claims that oxygen may prevent asphyxiation. Results from this taxpayer funded study should be concluded within two years.

I too had been thinking about the one on asphyxiation/oxygen. Results in 2 years??? - don't hold your breath. :rolleyes:sorry - that was pretty bad

It would be pretty conclusive (albeit anecdotal) evidence....

Most of us don't look good in blue, though.

I have a two year supply of powdered water in the garage.

Just to be on the safe side.

I love this serious Web site about "dihydrogen monoxide" -- that's H2O!
http://dhmo.org/

Seriously, though - there is a real condition called water intoxication or water poisoning. A person can drink too much water, though it is not easy to do.

Positively frightening that some people get paid a lot to 'research' this! At least it takes a little of Europe's focus off the Cameron veto :p

The follow-up article made me smile...

I love the poll at the end of the article.

My response would be :

C)I simply don't care - this research is a complete waste of time and money.
