Hi cat lovers,

How are you?

It's been awhile since I was here but I'm really glad to be back and share my stories with my lovely cat, Lyra. I have been working hard getting my children's book finished. It's actually dedicated to my Lyra.

I have created a contest to promote my book, "Skat the Christmas Cat (http://www.amazon.com/Skat-the-Christmas-Cat-ebook/dp/B0063XGZX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321324564&sr=8-1)"" by giving away a free Kindle Fire! The book is an ebook format but you don't need an ereader to view the book. You can get free software to view the books on a PC (like Kindle and Nook for the PC). I want that homeless kitty to have more homes than he ever imagined!

Kindly check http://www.SkatTheCat.com for more details about the contest.

Participate and have fun!
Thanks!

I am not sure what a Kindle is , unless it is a bunch of Kittens. I will see if they can get Skat the Christmas Cat at my Library.:love:

We can only wish a kindle is a bunch of kittens. Much better than what a kindle actually is.

LOL. I like that one Gary. :)

I don't really think you can compare a Kindle and kitties though. The nice thing about a Kindle is you can be reading one while you have a kitty on your lap. :)

Here's a description from Wiki:

"The Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader developed by Amazon.com subsidiary Lab126 which uses wireless connectivity to enable users to shop for, download, browse, and read e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and other digital media.[1] The Kindle hardware devices use an E Ink electronic paper display that shows up to 16 shades of gray, minimizes power use and simulates reading on paper."

I like my Kindle because I am never without a book to read wherever I go. :D

I still love my local library too though.

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your responses! I now realized that "Kindle" is not a familiar stuff than I ever thought. :D

I just wonder why you can't view the site because it actually works for me and others too. Will just check it.

Hahah! If it's a bunch of kittens, I would definitely grab one. Thanks Catmandu! You'll surely love it especially kids.

Thanks guys for giving them good descriptions about Kindle. Really appreciate it. Kindle is such a good stuff if you're really fond of reading because you can read wherever you go. It's a gadget for whatever age you are.

Anyways, will just inform everyone when the print format is out. I'd be so glad if you will also share this info (especially the contest!) with your family and friends who have kids or those who are fond of reading picture books.

Thanks again!

Gary, you have company on this board! I, too, like the feel of a real book in my hand. Besides, the local library is free, whereas you have to pay to download books onto a kindle; also, real books do not require batteries, and I am already overloaded with stuff that is forever draining batteries. :( I have no idea whatsoever what a "Kindle Fire" is.

I downloaded the book to my Kindle and am saving it for a cold, dreary day.
