Thanks for asking! Cody turned 9 on Dec 2 (I know you didn't ask that)and he is a Golden Retreiver/Yellow Lab mix, 100 lbs, very muscular,LIVES for his tennis balls (2 in mouth constantly). I don't let him chase them as frequently due to hip dysplasia but "doggie in the middle" is one of his favorite games! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Sorta like flyball!

Awwww!! Do you have any pics? I love Golden Retrevers and Labs!!!!!!! Me and BoxerLover play doggie in the middle with her Boxer Nikki!!!!!!! I would play with my dog(Bear) but he dosn't like toys only treats! He is a thirteen year old Yorrkie. He is quite energetic still but he has arthritus (or however you spell it) and he has a hard time sometimes!!! Besides most balls are to big for him!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Well, as most of the "oldtimers" on Pet Talk know, I am computer-less at home until Feb, I hope, and trust me, a scanner is top accessory on my list. That way I can send Cody's pix on a twice daily basis and bore you all!!! LOL!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif You will be VERY sorry you asked! Some Pet Talk pals have gotten his pix for Xmas! Now I make him "go back", sit, and then I toss the balls to him so he doesn't have to run as much. I want him as healthy as possible for a long time!

Yup, flyball is a favorite with my family. My mother is on the Hurdlin' Hoosiers flyball team and was one of the first of the team to title her little Border Terrier, CC. She has four more Borders in training now and my daughter is planning on training her Vizsla puppy, Dusty, when he gets old enough.

Be careful about jumping too much too soon as it may affect the dog's hips and legs. Most teams prefer the dog be at least a year old. Check out the "sports you participate in" topic here in games and you can hook up with some flyball sites. Good luck and let us know what team you're on. Maybe we can hook up at a competition some time.
