Or is it just Keva? None of the other dogs do it, just her. She'll sit there for a long time with her tongue out like that, no idea why. She'll even walk around like that, she acts completely normal and she does it fairly often.

Hmm, none of ours dogs did that! If it was hot out, the Saint Bernards would have the tongue out, but for panting and heat relief ... accompanied by copious quantities of drool of course ...

Yup, quite common, about 1/3 of the bichons I know (or know of, from the bichon forum) do this. Some do it regularly, others do it now and then. Two of mine do.

CUTE! LOL

YES, My LilGirl does it all the time. Having said that, I dont know if I could get a photo of it LOL. I think she's so cute with just the end of her tongue sticking out.

This is a very common thing for Lily to do :p. I'll be talking to her and then all of a sudden she's giving me a cute head tilt with her tongue out!

Love this picture of Keva. It's precious!

Autumn does. I thought I read somewhere it could be due to something with the kidneys or thyroid? I don't remember where. Strange thing to be connected. Autumn is definately up that alley with those types of issues. She also does a shaky jaw thing occasionally.

It must be something like "Variable Temperature Control". It only needs a little cooling when it's stuck out just a little ! :D

I think its adorable. A lot of the time he will fall asleep like that. It always dries out if we don't poke his tongue to make him put it back in his mouth.

Cute picture!!

I've never noticed my dogs doing this. But I have caught several pictures of Paizly with her tongue slightly sticking out like this. And I don't even realize it until I've uploaded the pictures to the computer.

Yes!! Frankie does it on occasion, even hanging out the side a little. I call it the piece of ham.

Yup! It's sooo cute! I've had several dogs do this. It's so cute! Both my guys did it quite a bit as puppies.

Lady does it every once in a while, then the tip of her tongue gets dry and she spends a couple seconds licking to get rid of the dry tongue.

I've seen Smokey do that sometimes, but not often. Maggie doesn't
but she does make little sucky sounds when she sleeps. Makes me chuckle
every time.:D Dreaming of her mommy probably.;)
