Hi all! I went back home last weekend for the first time since April, hadn't seen the dogs since we met up half way in May!
Niņo's "birthday" (the day we just picked for it since they gave us a 2 month range when we got him) was October 15th! He's doing ok. He is on Cosequin for arthritis in the spine and hips, probably caused by the seizures. He hasn't had one since the really bad scare in May when he couldn't walk before he went on Cosequin.
Still at 12 he can out walk Eliza! My mom has called me to complain several times that she has to leave E home on the longer walks because after about three miles she just plops down on the grass and refuses to walk. She jokingly says she should have gone to the Dalmatian breeder she was looking at instead of adopting E. (She did apply to adopt a dal puppy but they said they were overwhelmed with applications for that puppy so of course they never heard back.)

I put that bandanna on him because it's the same pattern as one he had as a puppy, but quickly learned the reason he doesn't wear a collar at home anymore!

Eliza goes straight for the collar!
I'm not sure if I properly introduced Eliza, but back in March of this year they adopted her from a local shelter. She had been part of Terre Haute, Indiana's notorious feral dog population and was rounded up as a puppy and taken to the shelter in Illinois where they got her.

It took her a while to get settled and he couldn't do stairs when she first came home. She is afraid of new people and it took her a day before she let me touch her but the time gets less each time I come home.

One more of my old boy

And I currently can't have dogs where I'm living but if I manage to find a place that allows dogs when I move next spring I'll be getting a dog of my own. Probably a doberman.
