My friend Vickie has named the latest kitty, Big Bertha, because she is so big. I'm taking her to the vet Monday afternoon, so I would like a prettier name for such a pretty kitty.

Bertha was hiding back here on the shelf. Alex is jealous of her. ;)

Some pictures of Alex. I smelled like Bertha so he was hissing and growling at me and alternately headbutting me for luvies. :D

Maybe Bettina! A more delicate name but similar to Bertha ...

no piccies here either but sight unseen & sticking close to Bertha:

Berlin/Berlina - borderline (not a special meaning by any means but  the name
Beree - strong & brave like a bear
Barra - choose one
Beryl - ( I like this for the meaning: A gemstone of varying colors; often yellow-green. In the Bible the eighth foundation stone of the wall of New Jerusalem was beryl.)

I was actually thinking of Betty, but wasn't sure.

I like Bettina, but the gemstone theme is nice.

How about Amber Berylina? She can be called Betty or Berty for short.

There is a cat who comes to the kennel regularly - her name is Bramble. I like it.

She has a large round head - definitely an alpha female. No wonder Alex is hissing! LOL

I like Amber Berylina...it is sweet sounding. And there are so many nicknames you can get from it.

Don't know. She was dropped off Thursday morning in her carrier and in the rain. She is lovable but scared. She found her on the porch of the store when she opened before 8 AM.

Alex is another long story.

I like Bertie, too.

I might use Amber Bettina. Can still use Bertie as a nick name. hmmmmm

I've always like Elizabeta as a name. Lots of possibilities. :D

Elizabeta Berylina, Bertie for short.

Hmmmm. I have until Monday to decide.

Yes, but I think she would. And so would my friends. :D Now Mr. Spunky is another story. He could be a Tasmanian devil. :D

Bertie is not doing well in the store office. I think she is just lonely. I could put her in my back room and put in a screen door, but she would be just as lonely. Sam simply cannot tolerate any more addition to the household.

I just do not know what to do except surrender her.

What kind of store is it? Might she be allowed to be out of the office, and wandering around the store?

mrspunkysmom

It's a pet supply store. There are already 3 other cats there. Only one roams the store at will. The other two stay in the office store room most of the day and are let out at night. Bertie is not comfortable with other cats. Vickie doesn't want her getting out when a customer opens the door.

Someone just left her outside the store? in the rain? If you still take her
in to the Vet today, maybe you could see if she has a microchip? I'd look
up the owner just to see what the heck is going on with them. The things
animals have to put up with. Poor girl.:(
