He is the sweetest, friendliest little guy anyone could hope for! I just met him this afternoon around 3:30 when I picked him up from the farm where he was born. I took him to the Vet before bringing him home, and was glad I did because he could have spread the ear mites to my other six cats.... My husband is working nights now so was sleeping when I first brought him home. When my husband got up Casper was still in the large carrier but the door was open and he was just sitting in the doorway looking around. I pointed to him and my husband looked at him, then looked at me and said "Is he OURS?" I nodded my head and smiled, and my husband just kind of sighed and then smiled and said "poot poot" as he looked back at Casper, and that was about it! I have more pictures to add here, with some of the "crabbiest" expressions on a kittens face you'll ever see, when we were at the Vet's earlier....and also some of my husband holding Casper this evening before he had to go to work. Yup, CASPER IS HERE TO STAY! :):):D:D

Casper is about 10-12 weeks old. I'll know his exact birth date soon---I got him from my boss and his wife has all of that information but she wasn't home yesterday when I picked him up so I still have to talk to her about it. He looks more like an adult cat in some of these photos than a kitten, but he is just a baby yet---weighed 3 pounds yesterday at the Vet's---He was playing hard this morning before I had to leave home to come to work. My husband is home with him now and says he's been running around the house all morning without any major problems from the other six cats.....his poop sample was negative this morning for any parasites so he can use the "big boy" litter boxes now instead of the little one in the large carrier that I made him use yesterday and during the night.....I can't wait to get off work late this afternoon to go home and spend the entire weekend with him! :D:)

When I got home this evening Casper was roaming the house llike he's lived here all of his short life so far, and the other cats are pretty much accepting of him already! They aren't nearly as interested in him as they were yesterday, and I haven't heard any hissing at all. A couple of them have gone up to him from behind to check out his behind, but they do that to each other all the time, too, so I think he's pretty much settled in! I brought home LOTS of new toys for ALL of them, and they ALL liked that! It helps them think about something else, and it's fun to watch all of them with their new toys! Casper is having a blast playing with just about anything and everything he can figure out how to play with, whether it is a toy or anything else! :D It is SO MUCH FUN having a baby kitten here in the house again! :D:love: Thank you for all of your kind comments. I don't get on here much any more, but this was the first place I thought about when I knew I was going to bring Casper home! I HAD to post pictures of him on here for everyone to see! I know how much everyone on here loves PICTURES of baby kitties! :D I'll be keeping PET TALK updated on him for now, because I know that people on here understand how I feel about him---the excitement and joy of having a new little furbaby! :):D:love:

Casper is adorable! I think I see a little orange striping in his tail? He's a doll, no matter... good luck with him and I hope the integration continues to go well.

He was born on June 15th, so he is actually 16 1/2 weeks old----will be 4 months old in one more week! He also already had a rabies shot---my boss' wife took him and his siblings in to get rabies shots a couple of weeks ago. She's going to get the rabies certificate and tag for me to take to Casper's new Vet. the next time I take him in....I still have to set up an appointment for him in about two weeks for follow-up, booster shots, etc. Then I'll be setting up an appointment for him to be neutered, and then we'll be pretty well set until NEXT year! He is getting along VERY WELL here at home. His new brothers and sisters (Shadow, Little Orphan Annie, Dottie, Spook, Sammy and Kingston) have all pretty much accepted him! He has full run of the house and has explored every corner I think, upstairs and downstairs! He uses the "big boy" litter boxes like a pro, and PLAYS and PLAYS and PLAYS and PLAYS! He even "picks on" his older "siblings" at times, showing a bit of an ornery, mischevious streak in him!

I'd never heard of "flame-point" or "red-point" Siamese until someone posted it on this thread. I looked it up on the internet and it is officially "red-point" Siamese, from what I found. But I like the term "flame-point" so much better, and "flame-point" is an "unofficial" name for the red-point Siamese cats! I just know that when I first saw Casper, he reminded me of a Siamese kitten with orange coloring instead of gray or brown coloring in the ears, nose and tail. It will be interesting to see how much his color actually changes.....I guess if he turns less white, his name will be a reflection of his earliest days, when he was SO white in color! I have a follow-up appointment set for him at the Vet's on October 25th. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy watching him play as much as possible when I'm at home! He is getting along wonderfully, and even "teases" his "siblings" some now---so if they "attack" him, he usually instigates it now! But they don't hurt him......They have even been seen licking him when they don't know that I can see them.......:D:)

Casper is so cute and adorable. I want him.

Please keep the pictures coming, as we all like to see kittens and puppies.

Thanks for taking a kitten in need of a new home. Farm cats can have a difficult life. Not all, but many, are never vetted and live only a short time. It seems as though your boss and his wife are responsible. I hope they get their cats neutered and spayed, so they don't keep reproducing.

Around here, stray cats often end up going to farmers. I am not sure if they are dropped off or merely find their way there. Many of the farmers here in Vermont, cannot afford to spay and neuter each and every cat they come across. There are just too many. But many cats end up getting ill or killed by another animal at the farm.

Anyway, thanks for taking Casper and giving him a loving, fun home.

Remember, more pictures! ;);););)
