Signed Divorce Papers

This morning I signed the divorce affidavit. It will go, today, to the court house. In 4-6 weeks it will come back, signed. Then we have a 31 day appeal period. Following that it will be done and I will be divorced.

Still have the mediation/arbitration set for Nov 3 so that should work out the settlement issues.

I WILL BE DIVORCED BY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thanks everyone. It is good to be almost out from under.


However, a new item has arisen. True to his ways, he is attempting intimidation ahead of the mediation/arbitration. I will not be swayed from my course however. So please, hang in there with me my PT family, it's going to be a rough few weeks, but Nov 3 will be here before we know it.

Yup! He wanted the farm but to spite him she ended up with the farm & half his retirement check when he retires. But he doesn't plan on retiring to spite her. She was messing around on him in the first place. It took 5 years even with a mediator. They both dumped their first partners & took them to the cleaners & thought it was funny when they did so. No morals or respect there from either of them. :( You can sure bet the lawyers cleaned house & even got a bonus.

Spent 5 hours today gathering info for the med/arb. I'm exhausted but it was well worth the effort. Will sit with my lawyer on the 24th for a couple of hours to ensure we are absolutely prepared for it on Nov 3.
