There have been a couple threads with pics in the "bowling pin pose". So lets start a thread with just those pics. Freckles (the cat) is in her best pose, even though it almost looks like a "bowling ball pose". Sorry, Frecks

I don't really have any pics of my cats in this position. I guess they're just too lazy to sit up like that. :) Here's the closest picture that I have.

I've been thinking lately that Tubby does a better bowling pin than he used to since he's gained some weight back. But I've only got pictures of him from behind in this pose. And I have none of Peanut doing her bowling pin rendition. Guess I'll have to get the camera out. ;) :)

Congrats on your nephew Sara! Neices and nephews are almost like your own kids, so hopefully you'll be very close to the baby. Congrats on being an Auntie!

Is Tubby inside a motor home in this picture? I'm asking because I wonder if people travel with their kitties in motor homes...

Me. :D I had cat treats. Mom took the pic.

Thanks. :o It's my fave too since it's the only pic I have with the 4 of them in one shot. We didn't have Onneka at the time.

Awww! I love all the pics!! I call that Bixby's "I'm going to take over the world!" pose. He'll sit just like that and cock his head to the side and if he's thinking devious thoughts! It's so funny to look at. And of course as soon as I get the camera, he moves :(

That is a great picture! When Tuxluvr said "what are they looking at?" I immediately said to myself "treats." And sure enough. There's not much else in the world that will hold their attention like that. :D

Sure does! And may I say that Edwina does a beautiful bowling pin. ;)

And finally...

Is Tubby inside a motor home in this picture? I'm asking because I wonder if people travel with their kitties in motor homes...
Yes. I take him over to it (we park it about a mile away from the house) every now and then. I would like to be able to take him along with us so I'm trying to get him used to it. There are a lot of people that travel with their cats. Dogs are much more common, but I've seen many cats in windows and special little boxes that hang off the windows that people have made up. I even saw what looked like a "bunny runner" on top of a picnic table once, that had a cat in it. I thought that was a great idea because the cat could then be outside, but couldn't get away at all. Some people come up with some real ingenious ways to accomodate the cats - to the point of cutting a hole in the floor somewhere so the cats can get in the "basement" to give them more room and so the litter box doesn't have to be so intrusive. The most I've seen in one motorhome is 3 cats, and that's a lot of cat in a 40' x 8.5 foot space!

I can't find any upright bowling pins, but in this one Jasmine looks like she's just been toppled. Such an elegant little lady ...

Peanut was doing the perfect bowling pin this morning (well...not as good as Scooter, but pretty darn close), and Tubby was doing a delightful doily (almost looked as big as Ritzy, but flatter) - but Terry had taken my camera so I couldn't get the evidence! Whaaaaaaaaa!!! I hate it when they finally do just what you've been waiting for (even though you might not have known you were waiting for it) and the camera isn't on hand. I know a lot of people have mentioned this on PT, and it certainly happened to me this morning. :(

ooh, Samantha, you lovely lady! Vermontcat, I don't know if I've ever seen a "full body shot" of your kitty! What a gorgeous cat!...and you are right, a CLASSIC bowling pin pose, with a little extra "attitude" in the foot area :)

Finally got one of Peanut.

Seems the traditional bowling pose has the tail sticking straight out behind, but Peanut never does that. She always has to curl it around her little tootsies. :)

Tuxluvr, I did post a couple of photos of Sam a couple of weeks ago, I guess you missed it! I also put a photo of her in the sleeping positions thread and one of her and my bird in the thread in general "What does your pet look like?" Also go catch up on the black and white page of www.cathappy.com , I finally got a couple of photos of her there too. Can you tell that Sam was getting annoyed with the flash in her bowling pin photo and was actually thinking about walking away.

Peanut makes a cute bowling pin, I like the fluffy ones!:)

LOL LOL :D Great bowling pin pose pics everyone! Wouldn't it be funny to take a bunch of them, and arrange them in a bowling pin formation??!! LOL I may have to grab some of these pics and create a bowling pin collage of PT kitties!!

Scooter sends purrs and headbumpies to all of his fellow bowling pins!:D
