We took some quick cell phone pics, and it's tiny (maybe 2 inches long), so they're not the best... but he was really cool!

My husband thinks he may be a San Diego Banded Gecko... I'm not sure. Either way, probably the coolest lizard I've ever seen!

He was tiny. About 2 inches long. I zoomed in with the cell camera.

that's about the right size. they are quite small. So your hubby was right on the money. If he gets a swelled head don't tell him though. LOL
What a treat that must have been to see him. He is adorable and they are good luck too, I believe.

that's cool looking! Most of the lizards around here are rough-scaled and the color of tree bark, although there are some shiny ones with blue tails I see from time to time. They like to taunt the kittehs by running back and forth across the brick windowsill outside.

When we got home, I peeked into the little box in the ground for the irrigation system - he's still there!
What a neat looking lizard!

LOL! Really interesting little guy. We get a lot of lizards and geckos but I've never seen one like that.

It could be a mutant. A rattlesnake with legs. :D

We checked as soon as we got home tonight and the little guy was gone. Wahhh. I was kind of hoping he'd still be there.
I've never seen a lizard that was so pretty! I wasn't thrilled with him at first, but the more I looked at him the more I liked him.
