Usually when she sees the camera, she instantly vanishes into another dimension. These ones were taken during her recent checkup at the vet's, when she couldn't get away.

Poppy, I see you've got the ears going, in BOTH photos. Didn't the photographer have any tuna waiting? Aw, that's OK, we love seeing you.

Sparkler, my goodness, photos while at the vet office? How mean can a um be, eh? She KNOWS you like to go to another dimension (had a good laugh at this!) when that camera is out. Now she has prevented a travel trip! TERRIBLE! But awwww, look at you, up in the condo. Isn't the view lovely from there?

Thanks to all of you for the nice compliments from the girlies and me!

Poppy does that with the ears a lot. She keeps me on a tight leash! ..though I must say she has become much more laid-back over just the last few months. For instance, she now regularly comes and relaxes on me, on whichever body side is highest, when I'm lying down! She hardly ever did that in the past. She's one of these very independent-minded cats, who does things on her own terms. Well, they all do, of course, but Poppy especially so. And I feel honored that I seem to have passed some rating level of hers to have earned the privilege of being settled down on by her!

Sparkler is very good at de-materializing into parallel universes when I try to find her in order to do something she doesn't like, like brush her teeth. I look all the places I think it's even possible for her to get into to hide and don't find her. Then when she's good and ready, she's suddenly BACK, re-materialized!

Poppy reminds me of Chip and Chuck's mommy, Lilac. She had the same coloring and sweet looking face. Of course, Sparkler is equally gorgeous. :love::love:

What beautiful ladies!!! I love Poppy's markings, they are just stunning. I've never met a tortie I didn't like though, lol.

Sparkler, looking so dismayed and not at all comfortable being at the vet and caught with the camera. Pretty girl.... fear nothing. Your meowmie would never let anything harm you. Such a pretty orange a white lady too.
