Goodbye sweet Ike

When I opened the back door to feed the outside gang, I found sweet Ike laying in the yard. I think he was hit by one of the neighbor's cars and he ended up in my yard.

I am so sick about this. I can't even bury him because physically I'm not able to. So I had to put him in a box in the trash. That little baby is not trash. I told him that and hope he understands. I told him to look for his little sibby who died and for Leonardo, Luke, and Leroy. They will all watch after him.

I so wanted to be able to adopt him some day or at least find him a home.

He loved playing in the bush. Here is a last pic of him. RIP baby Ike. Please forgive me. :love:

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. He was quite the pretty boy in that pic.

He was loved by you and he will end up at the RB. His body is just an empty vessel now that carried happiness and joy to you. Do you have a friend or neighbor that could possibly bury him for you?

No, I'm pretty much on my own. I've recently developed arthritis in my shoulders and have trouble moving my arms or I'd try and bury him. He was all sretched out and stiff so it would need to be a long and deep hole. Way beyond what I could do. :(

Aww Moff, it is his spirit that knows how much you cared for him and his spirit has no need to be buried. His body will take care of itself as it was just a shell for his beautiful spirit to reside.

Moff, you are a good lady - he knew that and had all of the benefits that you could show him in a short time.

My vet is only open half days on Thursdays. I called her when they opened this afternoon. She sent someone over to get him for me. He will probably be creamated but that's better than being dumped on a trash pile. Of course there will be a charge but that's ok with me too. At least I won't have nightmares. :love::love::love:

Poor Frankie can't understand why I keep picking him up and cuddling him and cry in his fur. :love:

MOFF, I can't tell you how much my heart is aching for you right now. If I could, I'd take the next flight down there and bury sweet Ike, but Gini is right. His spirit doesn't need it.

I am sorry that I missed Ikes page the first time around.
We are not allowed to bury Cats on our property so I have had to do the same thing with Orange Blossom , Road Block , Orangie and Scratchy Two when a drunk ran them down.:(
Ike certainly understands , and as you fed him and truly cared Ike will meet you in his wings of Silver and Gold, and his Diamond head band when you meet again in Paradose.
