Susan Thixton (The Truth about Pet Food) and Petsumer Reports shared this article on counterfeit Frontline. It's very dangerous to your pets! Only buy Frontline and Advantix from reputable web sites or your vet. The article lists 1800PetMeds and Doctors Foster and Smith as reputable. Here's a link to the article:

Thanks for the info. Strangely enough, neither of the Fuzzbuttz have had a single flea this year, and I haven't used any flea med either. Maybe the fleas don't like old dog meat???
I still have some of the Advantix from last year that I bought on line that I get from Australia, so I presume that it's still good if I do need to use it.

Since the Hartz scare, I ONLY buy Frontline and Advantage from the vet! PERIOD.

I've been buying the large dog advantage from Entirely Pets for years and then I measure out the correct doseage for my cats. I sure hope that none of my advantage doses are counterfeit.

I'd always heard not to order online because the meds come from other countries and can have different allowed levels of chemicals. I haven't used anything on the dogs in like 2 years though and haven't had a flea infestation.
