What a little sweetheart!! My cat, Chloe didn't purr until she was a year old and then very little until she got older. Instead she tends to "talk." I have been told that purring is something they must learn - so if she was on her own when little, then it will take awhile for her to start.

Cookie's a cutie. I just read in the news letter that comes from one of the shelters here that cats never purr alone. They need a person or another animal. That really doesn't answer your question but I thought it was interesting. Congrats Cookie on being Cat of the Day!

If a cat purrs alone in the woods does it make a sound? ;)
