Mail one right over. I need another spider to make webs in my house to hold the place up.

Too funny! Did he really think he was going to catch it in that container??? What did the little girl say at the end? "I told you not to ?

We had a huge wood spider in the house here one time, not quite that big though. It was just my daughter and I living here at the time and she was in high school. Suffice to say it was so big that there was no squishing it. My daughter calmly went and got a container and a huge envelope. She somehow slipped the envelope under the spider and capped it with the container and escorted it outside.

I don't really mind small spiders. I usually try to take them outside as they say spiders are "good" for the environment. :D

They're buggers of things, they pop up next to ya when you don't expect it.
A few years ago, I was driving back to Armidale from Sydney (about a six hour drive), I was in my work van which never gets cleaned and there's tools and bits of wood and candy wrappers and empty coke bottles all over the inside of it.
It was night time and all of a sudden this huge tarantula cam out of nowhere and ran across my windscreen. So I put the windscreen wipers on, and then realised that the spider was on the inside of the windscreen....hee hee.

I wound down the window, and tried to flick the spider out of the window with the back of my hand (all of this was happening whilst I was driving at like 100kph). Anyway, the spider jumped onto my right forearm, and in my panic I opened the car door and flicked with my whole arm out the door. So then I pulled up, found a workable torch amongst the detritus in my van, and did a thorough search.....no spider.
I resumed my journey.
The next morning I went out to the van to get some stuff, and there was the spider.....not dead yet....but squirming on the drivers seat.
I figured he must have run up my arm so quickly and down my back, and I'd sat on him for a few hours....hee hee.

I laughed so hard; however, you can keep your abnormally large spiders in Australia. Don't want them here! :p

Ok, thanks Wom! All these pictures have me totally freaked out and now I have the heebie jeebies!

I do feel sorry for the spider though. I bet he probably injured it when he slammed the container on it. :( I would have waited until it was not on the ceiling. I don't touch spiders when they are up on the ceiling.......for exactly this reason! Even small ones!

Oh, I think the little girl said something like "I told you not to catch (or play) with spiders". Too funny!! :D
