One year ago today, Dad and I took a drive down to Westerly RI to pick up a male bichon for Small Paws Rescue. We found a fella who had some health issues, and needed a bit of vet care, grooming and TLC to get him back to being the handsome bichon he was meant to be.
We found AN ALPHA MALE! :p
All of these photo were taken in the last 24 hours, except for the one from a year back (it is marked).
Willy has learned SO MUCH in one year!
"Life is GOOD!" He is healthy, happy, and knows lots of commands (doesn't always FOLLOW those commands, but now he knows them! ;)

After being a "lonely only" for his first 7 years of life, I am sure it was a challenge for him to learn sharing! You know, being so bossy and all. :D Laps were not always "just for Willy!" Lacey (and all the others here) made sure Willy learned to share laps.

And Willy may still think he is boss of Dad and I, but he KNOWS that CATS RULE! Sparkle makes sure she has the chair she wants (mine)

AND the bed SHE wants! Marlin is stuck in the smaller donut bed and Willy is resigned to the floor.

Willy has taken obedience classes, and excels at Agility classes when he has mastered all the obstacles. He has been on doggie play dates, attended small dog meet ups, met doggie friends of all shapes and sizes. He has walked at parks, and romped freely off leash at Bridgham Farm. (Took 4 months for me to trust him off leash there!)
