Okay, this is probably a bit embarassing. :o Recently, I shot some self portraits; some are new profile pics for Facebook (my old one was almost one year old), others were for the 365 project. I'm not very experienced when it comes to photographing people; most people I know hate it to have their pictures taken, so I haven't done this too much.

Anyway, I was trying some things here at home, hope you don't mind if I share...

I was just surprised there was no sign of certain felines in these pictures! You get to read a book without kitty help?

I love your pictures! The one of you sitting in the chair, reading is awesome. I have to say, I LOVE your hair! I even showed my hairdresser once and he said my hair texture couldn't hold on to that look :( But if I could, I would. It becomes you beautifuilly.

Beautiful! It must be quite difficult to photograph yourself! Might I suggest you find some aspiring models who need photo's for their portfolios? My sister models and she's always looking to pose! You are very talented.

Very nice Kirsten. Both yourself and the photography. ;)
But....the 6th pic down....you are looking quite intently at that knot on the wall hanging. I wonder what you are thinking. Was it "How am I going to untie that bloody knot" :p

Lookin' good Kirsten! :) I especially like the one in color, and the one in the chair.
Your sense of decorating is as awesome as you photographs. You take something so simple and make it look so elegant. I've noticed that in previous pics you've posted too. Sure wish I had that knack. You need to move to the U.S. - you could probably make a killing with your photography skills and interior design/decorating skills as well. :)

Thank you so much! :) Well, I have to admit, the older I'm getting, the harder it is to get a decent shot! :o Not easy getting old! :(

I was thinking about working with models, but it would be difficult because due to my poor health, I cannot make any appointments because I never know how I'll feel that day.

Well, if I was healthy, I would actually think about it...

Karen, I almost forgot to reply to your question... Luna didn't care about what I was doing, but Lily was actually all over the place, and watching me. :) She's my little assistant, you know? Making sure I'm doing everything right. lol But obviously she wasn't in the mood to pose. ;)

Okay, that explains it! ;)

Maybe you could do interior decorating work on a contract basis, freelance so work on it when you are feeling well?

These things are difficult in Germany if you did not learn/study the job.

Once they'll start paying my pension, I'm allowed to make 400 Euro in addition to that pension. But it should be something I could do from home, so that I can do it when I'm feeling well enough. But it's getting more and more difficult for me to function at all, so I cannot make too many plans.
