Cleaning laminate floors?

The house my daughter is buying has laminate floors thoughout the kitchen, dining room and family room. I bought here a swiffer starter kit, my sil said she uses that and a floor spray. What does everyone recommend? Can you use the steam vacs on laminate?

I wouldn't think so, it will cause the layers to separate!

I have hardwoods, and just use a damp mop.
