After these horrible stories of people that brutally abused animals and got mere wrist slaps..

A Michigan man who drunkenly kicked a 12-week-old puppy to death HAS JUST BEEN SENTENCED TO UP TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON: http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/28155421/detail.html

At last.. an official jurisdiction that actually treated this vicious, obscene action as a real crime?!

I hope he get the traditional welcome that prisoners give to those who victimize the most helpless out there..

Too bad the judge that handed down the sentence didn't work in CT. We can sure use someone like him at this dog stabbing case.

Couldnt we just kick for a determined amount of time? It would be cheaper and I bet there would lots of volunteers.

Hard to believe someone actually will be paying for such a gruesome crime. Maybe the authorities will finally realize that animlas have rights too...

How wonderful to know that a decent sentence has been handed down! Too bad it couldn't be longer but I'm sure Bubba will take very good care of him.

A few years back a woman here in New Jersey abandoned a cat in the dead of winter on one of the coldest nights of the year. She was caught, arrested, and stood trial. It was still brutally cold when the judge ordered her to spend the night outside in the woods where the poor kitty was abandoned. The State Police took her to the designated spot and stayed all night to make sure she served the sentence. Way to go Judge!
