Karen and Paul,

Please let us know you two are okay!! I just heard from my friends Dorothy and James who have 3 Sphynxes. The tornado touched down a 1/2 mile from their house but they are okay. EVERYONE is okay and she's going to call me tonight. *SIGH*

Man, if God was trying to get a message across with these natural disasters, believe me, I'M paying attention.

If I didn't have my daughter's wedding to get ready for, I'd be in Mass. helping out. Please, all PTers in Mass, post if you're okay. Don't make me worry about you!!!

Donna,
Karen posted in her weather thread last night. You and I are close to Springfield, MA than she is! LOL

Donna and Freedom,
I'm so happy and relieved to see posts from both of you!! There were film clips of the tornado on our local news but not too many details. Last I heard, there are 4 confirmed dead and the damage is extensive.

Get the feeling that this is not going to be a great summer? The National Weather Service is saying it's going to be a busy hurricane season.

To all of our PT friends in the area, please let us know you're okay!?! We're here if you need help.....

Yes, we are fine. And Dad - who lives in Oxford, where there was also tornado damage - is fine, he called me early evening to check in, and make sure I knew he was still standing!

That is great, Karen, I remember meeting your Dad at that luncheon um . . . 3 years back? Quite a character. Glad he is well, I'd forgotten where he lived.

Just heard from my brother on FB. They don't have power, but everyone (even the cat!) is OK.

My granddaughter's step-dad's family is in Springfield. They had damage to one of their businesses and one of their homes, but thankfully, no one was injured.

Here are a few websites with pictures/videos for anyone who's interested in seeing the tornado's path.

One woman was on top of her 15 year old daughter, to protect her. The house collapsed and the mother was killed; the 15 year old survived.
