Today May 19Th 2011 would have been my mom's 86Th birthday.
She was born in Germany in a town that no longer exits.
She was one of 11 children.
She was the only one to survive concentration camp in her family.
At 21 she was all alone in the world.
In 1948 she gave birth to my brother Ernie.
In 1959 I came along.
She died when she was 69.
I was 34.
Ernie was 45
She was the kindest most loving women I have ever known. All the kindness, gentleness and loving goodness I have come from her.
I miss you mom. But when I look into the faces of my brother, his children and my children I see you.
Your love of gardening and animals is so deep in Linda your granddaughter who became a vet.
Alicia too shares that love as do I.
You have two granddaughters that have your middle name.
Alexis Ella and Luna Ella.
In my flowers which I plant I give honor to you everyday.
If people see me outside taking to myself about where to put this flower or that flower I am not talking to myself but to you.
I know you hear me and guide me.
When I see the butterflies I know that is you coming to say "hello"
I love you mom. You will never be forgotten.
