I found this old birds nest fallen out of a tree several weeks ago. Its constructed out of at least a dozen cigarette carton wrappers layered together with some mud and grass and decorated with some blue crumpled paper strips. I think it may have been a mourning dove's nest because its flat and it was under a pine tree, but its small. I'm surprised they were able to use it because the layers just slide right apart since its such shiny plastic. I think the bird was attracted to the gold band on the wrappers. I don't smoke and I don't encourage others to use this as an excuse to litter their "nesting material" though.
