Only 5 a.m. here. I was thinking of putting colored paper in the fax machine at work as a joke.

The cats haven't played any jokes on me yet. No hacked up hairballs thankfully.

Me and 6 friends were having a "study" party the other day, but we didn't exactly get much done. Me and my one friend had to leave earlier, so we snuck around the back of the house and kept banging all the windows. All the people inside got really scared, it was hysterical. :D But that wasn't April Fools Day.

I tried to get my teacher to tell two of my friends they're failing, but she said it was too mean. :D I need to think of something else before the day is over.

How about sharing any past pranks that you fell for..........

About 10 years ago, the phone rang around 9 p.m. - it was my son. He and his "insignificant other" at the time, and 2 grandkids had gone to the mall. Said he needed me to come pick them up, as another car had cut them off in front of the mall - he swerved to avoid it - and rolled his SUV - no one was hurt, but his vehicle was not drivable. I was shaking - I was so upset!!!! Then all 4 of them went into gales of laughter knowing that they had put one over on me! I was really p.o.'ed at him - not at all funny at the time, but I can laugh about it now. Needless to say, my guard is up with him every April 1st after that! :p

The most outlandish Aprils Joke for me was a front page Article appearing in the Birmingham News when I was a Kid.

For many years, that I could remember, there had been talk of building a tunnel through Red Mountain to cut down on traffic problems and make the morning drive from "over the Mountain" burbs fast.

The Morning Headlines Read, "Red Mountain Tunnels Opens Today" this was almost a full page article complete with pictures of the Tunnel entrance on one side. There was a detail article on how two teams of tunnel builders had been building this tunnel, for the past few years, working from the middle out to , what would be the entrances, at the ends. One tunnel entrance was near downtown Birmingham and the other in Homewood several thousand feet away. The article was very believable until the last word of the story, APRIL FOOL. They hide the "April Fool" ending by having, "article continued on page xx", at the bottom of page one.:D

If you play Island Paradise on FG, a horde of giant evil chickens have destroyed your island!

You see your island, ransacked, and these HUGE grey chickens, all with a patch over 1 eye, pirate style, lol. I knew it was an April Fool, though it sure is stunning initially! AND it took me almost a full minute to figure out how to chase the birds off to someone else's island and restore order to my island, ha ha haaa.

I'm not a fan of April Fools. I don't like it. I am very much on guard on this day and will not believe anything anyone tells me or I read or see. I always just want this day to hurry up and be over.

My supervisor tried a funny one. We all have name plates on the outside of our cubicles. He switched them all around. I had actually mentioned this last year and he did it this year. Those kinds of jokes I can handle. Not the ones that get you in a panic and then they say April Fools!

Made some fake pictures and videos for a collectible toy forum and tricked them into thinking they made dog toys out of vintage models with squeakers in them for dogs to chew up.

I got fake parking tickets at Big Fun in Lakewood and put them on my co-workers windshields. He he. It was great. I got to watch some of the reactions when they first spotted it on their windshield and thought it was a real ticket. LOL

I completely forgot about San Serriffe!

This is one of my favorites... http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

During my community health nursing rotation I had to be at the clinical site at 7 AM; it was a 30-minute drive away so I would get up at 5:30 AM in order to leave the dorm by 6:30. No other nursing majors on my floor so no one else getting up that early. One morning I open the door (heading for the bathroom/shower down the hall) and crash! My friends had stacked soda cans from the floor to the top of the door frame and side to side; and when I opened the door, they all collapsed inward, awakening my roommate, my R.A. next door and about half the dorm. I was mad and embarrassed at the same time. They hadn't taken into consideration that I would be getting up that early!

I didn't have anything planned, but then my husband and I had this conversation standing in the kitchen this morning…

my husband: be careful what you read on the internet today. It’s April Fools day. If you hear anything that sounds ridiculous or too good to be true, it’s probably an April Fools day joke.

me: Ok, Thanks. I forgot to tell you, this morning there was an extra hen in the chicken coop.

my husband: Huh? What? How’d that happen? What are you talking about?
