What a marvelous program! I can't help but wonder how many future vets are learning the basics here. Homeless kids do have a tough time especially with the empty feeling of not belonging anywhere. This builds their confidence, self esteem plus they learn the joy of being loved by a pet. I'm willing to bet the kids who participate will not abuse or mistreat any animals in the future.

The first love many of these children will ever feel will be from a loving animal, and vice versa. What a wonderful program. I wonder if I could get something going like that in my area...hmmm.
