But he's acting strangely.

He sits at the table and asks for handouts. (and will sit when told)

He sits and begs for pounce.

Is it a cat or a dog that meows?:p

Is now soon enough?

Most of you probably remember Lady's Human posting something about this little kitten who decided he was moving in.

And now not only has he moved in but he has made himself quite at home. Watching my son play with the train he got for Christmas.

And then wanting to play with the train:

cuddling with the dog when she's not lookin'
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/commolady/027-1.jpg

And just looking handsome in general

And yes my husband and my dog have taught him how to sit for treats.

He's just gorgeous:D You can be sure this little guy knew exactly what he was doing when he "moved in" - obviously the arrangement suits him well:D:love:

He's beautiful! And intelligent, too! Is he a Maine coon cat?

He's a "cat who strolled up the driveway and into their hearts" - no pedigree, we'll see how big he ends up being, as he is still growing!

He's gorgeous, and no matter what he does - it's okay by me :)

Since he was raised by the dog, it's only natural that he should pick up a few of the doggy habits :)

There is another cat in the house (Honest, Karen, Tril DOES exist!), but so far she wants nothing to do with him.

She's forgotten what she was like when she was a kitten, and just growls and yowls at him.

Trillian was never a kitten, in her mind, she sprung into the world with every bit of attitude fully formed!

(We know differently, poor rescued baby, but we'll never convince her of that!)

He's so handsome.:) How old is he now? Both of my redhead twins will be 1 year old on April 30th and they've gotten so big and I'm sure they're not finished growing yet.:)

Yes, thank you for the photos. He's grown into such a beautiful boy. But do you have a photo of the "sit" for treats?

P.S. Maine Coons can take up to 4 years to mature;) Ready for this???

He's probably about 8 months now, and the kitty LadysOtherHuman had when she first started dating Lady's Human, Pippin, was a big ol' likely Maine Coon, so yes, they are prepared. I think Patch is somewhere around 8 months now, as I said, it'll be interesting to see how big he is when he stops growing!

Perhaps he has noticed the sucess your Dog has with those tatics, and figures that what is good for the Pup, is good for the Kitty.
What great Photos of Pets in love.:love::love:

Maine Coon mixed? I thought he looked big but didn't think he was that old. I thought I had lost track of time. He is beautiful.

Gary, My mom (RB) had a Scottish Terrier that was raised with cats. Molly would sit along the back of the couch and in the window which she could reach via a chair. The vision of a dog sitting in a window like a cat was a conversation centerpiece when visitors came calling.

I used to have a cat that would not only sit, but fetch.

Handsome kitty!

Love the pic of him w/ the train, and on the sofa w/ the dog, lol.

yeah, the one with the train was fun to watch unfold. He started on the windowsill watching the train go around the track and I guess the temptation was just too much he had to join in. Lady is very funny about him. She'll play with him, she'll try to groom him but when he tries to cuddle up with her she wants nothing to do with him touching her, I think because he's so unpredictable.

I really like the second one from the bottom, and of course the one at the bottom he's so handsome! But the second one from the bottom - reminds me of Bette Midler's song, You've got to have friends! So cute!

Yup, been there, done that, willing to do it again. My sweet Pippin was a Maine coon and lived to be 15 before we sent him to the RB. Grew to be 20 pounds. He was a big boy. At one time I had Trill, Pippin and Lucas who was the second Cat of the Day when PT started. Those of you who have been with PT since the very beginning may remember him as The Cat Who Stomps. Anyway when I told people I had three cats I would say I have small (Trillian 6-8 lbs.), large (Lucas 15 lbs.) adn OMG! (Pippin 20lbs.). We'll see in a few more months where this big handsome boy ends up.

I think he's working on month #9. He may make it all the way. He does get really nudgey some times but for the most part he's a good boy. He was just sitting in one of the windows earlier trying to figure out how to get to the birds outside.
