So much sad news right now, I thought I'd start a thread just for pure fun.

So, if you could be a mythological or fantasy character, what would you be? Elf, fairies, unicorns, dragons, hobbits, pegasus, dryad, nyad, water nymph, mermaid or merman, minatour, vampire, werewolf, ghost, leprechaun, sprite, gnome, troll, roc or whatever!

I've always thought I might be a good elf, so long as I could be friends with a unicorn, and talk to other animals, too.

I would totally and completely be an elf. Like the one's in the Lord of the Rings; from Rivendell. The Wood Elves were a bit too humorless for me although Galadriel is fierce and mighty.

What a great question to put out there and what a wonderful fantasy to steep myself in for a while.

That is easy I would be a fairy and protect all the creatures from man. If man were to come and hunt I would turn them into deer do-do.
Or if they hunted elephant they would be elephant do-do, lion hunting now you are lion do-do and so forth.
Oh what fun that would be to turn hunters into a world of do-do for all time to be.
Creatures large and small could roam the earth and be free.
To be themselves hunted or hunter as God meant them to be.
Man would no longer ruin the earth and destroy all we touch.
The animals derserve earth and all it's bounty such.
And for those human souls with a heart of gold, this fairy would always protect them as they grow blessfully old

I'd have to say a dragon, they are my favorite of all mythical creatures. Although I probably wouldn't be mean or guarding a useless castle. Those tales are to common for my tastes. :p

I think I'd like to be a Pegasus or a princess :p:D:love: I love living in those castles, maids all around, a Knight in Shining armor who saved me from the jaws of a dragon, or jaws of death, or should I say, jaws of Alyssa :p I love Damsels in distress :p:D Dreamy fairytale-ish stories :love:

Oh! and yes when I was a little younger, I loved and imagined myself to be a girl who could change into any animal and change back to a human :D:love: I love these stories!!!

Sometimes it would be nice to be a dragon - to be able to actually breathe fire on certain individuals, but most important to be able to go "between" - like the dragons in Anne McCaffrey's books - no such things as commute time, and when you are too busy, just pop somewhere else for an hour or so, take a nice nap, then pop back right at the moment you left, and no one would be the wiser!
