Don't want visitors ?? Just unhook the cable.

Most people use trees for a windbreak.

Consider the panic if you hear a branch snap.

How DID they get that car in there ??

A long climb after a days work ??

Tree below, flowers above.

Dampness problems ??

I can barely climb the stairs to my house after working all day. I can't imagine climbing a tree!

Mine - mine - mine. I'll take either one. I have a fascination with lighthouses, and always wanted to live in one! One day my ashes will be scattered in the ocean - hopefully from the top of a lighthouse. :D

Amazing, aren't they?! Wow! Imagine having been involved in building some of those! Not ME!

I would so live in the treehouse! Or the little house between the big rocks. The rest of them would make me quite nervous! Cool, though!

I wouldn't live in any of those up high, I'm afraid of heights :p. And the ones on the ocean, definitely no during hurricane season or thunderstorms. Can you imagine how wet the inside of your house would constantly stay if you lived there?

Weird indeed. I think it would be safe to say that most of those houses
don't have dogs living there.:)

Hey, Wom, where'd you find these? I'm betting at least a couple are Photoshopped but a couple look real.

Not to burst Wombat's bubble, but these are all most likely photoshopped.

This is rather dark, but I'm almost 100% certain that this is Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, which sits in the Chesapeake Bay, right off Annapolis, MD. This one definitely is not Photoshopped. :D

I have always wanted to convert a Firehouse into home. Call me weird but sliding
down a pole to my garage would be neat. All I need is a kitchen, bath, bedroom and one hug Garage for all my dream cars. Since I'm dreaming, might as well have one for each day of the week, maybe two for Sunday. The "Bentley GT Speed" and "Audi R8 5.2 FSI Cabriolet" would be my Sunday cars.:D;)

Yeah some of them may be real but this one:

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae186/wombat2u2004/image3-2.jpg

is obviously a "pod" from the London Eye photoshopped in with cables,

and this one:

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae186/wombat2u2004/image10.jpg

is obviously photoshopped, as the two "towers" are too identical, right down to the "doors" that lead nowhere ...

I actually visited this place: www.thehouseontherock.com. It's in Wisconsin, and the house contains loads of collections, along with the house itself being unusual.

Oh yeah, some of them are shopped for sure. But there are a few there that I have seen articles on, and are real.

I wondered that myself if all were real. Still amazing.

Very interesting but I sure wouldn't want to live in any of them.:)

I'd like to work for Longaberger at their corporate headquarters just to see the inside of this building... I don't have this particular Longaberger basket, but I know people who do - and the building looks exactly like the basket!!

And on my list of places to visit before I die... the opera house in Sydney, Australia, such a recognizable building. I love to see it on television every New Year's Eve!

I built the gatehouse for that place. True.

Ah, yes, the Kai Hat. (There was a character in Deep Space Nine, the Bajoran religious leader, called the Kai. She wore a hat like that.:D
