Here's an update on my dad's pup Patches most of you might remember. He's now seven months, he's about 30 pounds. He is proving to be a brilliant Aussie haha. He knows how to open doors by using his paws and mouth to work at the door knob. He opens cupboards and digs into the garbage, so my dad got a top that latches onto the garbage.... well he knows how to get those off as well now. hehehe :p Quite a handful he sounds like, I can't wait to visit hopefully this summer. My dad wanted to get him to do frisbee like many Aussies do, but he doesn't really seem very interested. He runs after it and just sniffs it and walks back. Maybe because he's young yet?
He and my dad's cat, Peanut (he's pictured below with Patches last August), have an odd relationship. They LOVE each other. Peanut allows Patches to mouth him and even pick her up! They are always together.

Anyways here's some pictures,

I was so excited to see a thread for Patches! I've been waiting to see him again. :D :D He is growing up to be such a handsome guy. Beautiful markings.

Bruce tried for years to get his Cocker Spaniel, DJ, to be a frisbee dog and he just never got it. So when we got Zoee that was his goal. She actually caught on to it pretty quick. But now she only does a few runs then she just lays down with the frisbee. Lazy butt. :p It's also more difficult with Taggart around too. He's a toy hog.
He is still young, so tell your dad to keep trying the frisbee. He might catch on some day. :)

Patches is just beautiful. Aussies have such great colorings. He is just a pup so he might take to the Frisbee as he gets older. In the meantime, what's he need to do tricks for, he knows he's beautiful!

Thanks for the replies, guys! :)

Yes, he sure is growing up to look exactly like his Momma, except his tan points. He's got the nice short fur for an Aussie... which is nice considering he's in the country!

I'd LOVE an Aussie myself, I love their personality and they're just beautiful. But unfortunately I don't have the time to physically and mentally exercise one! So I can just enjoy Patches when I see him :)
