Chip the holy terror has struck again. He is grounded for life!!! well at least until he is a year old. And just because I bet Chuck was chasing him, he's grounded too. :(

WHOA! GOOD ONE, Chip!

With 10 cats, I don't have blinds OR curtains; only valances, and the roll up shades.

Oh my godddd....yikes!

CHIP! NO!

I don't know what it is about blackies - at our local HS there are two black brothers, beautiful and lean and sweet. They are 10 months old and have been there since they were 8 weeks old. When they have their time out, they are a pair of teenage orangutans! (I think they have a bit of meezer in them somewhere). They are not destructive to the cat toys, towers and tunnels in the room...but I wonder about them in a house like yours...

Where are they being grounded?

I'm sorry your blind got wrecked - I hope you can get another that is a little more orangutan-proof!

The blinds were here first!!! They came with the house!!! :D

I dug out the tape and taped them back together. No way can I afford new ones right now or could put them up anyway. Maybe if my cousin comes down over Memorial weekend, she can help me put new ones up if I can find any.

Oh, Catty, they are grounded from all Catmobile trips though they do spend lots of time in the kitchen. I can't have them doing that to the other windows in the house. I need SOME privacy after all. They are only allowed in the other part of the house when I can watch them.

We bet that they are not guilty as a Bat flew in your house and they were chasing it out , and your blinds accidentally got in the way:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Lawyer Groucho will clear their names, he is Our Furry Mason:love::love::love:

LOL, I agree with Gary! They are innocent!!! :D

I thought Jax was going to be returned to the shelter the other day. He jumped on the table and went sliding across it and ended up knocking a portable hard drive into the water dish (right on top of Taggarts head while he was getting a drink). This is the hard drive with ALL of Bruce's music and all of our karaoke songs on it. Bruce was hysterical!!! But all is well. He dried it all out and it's fine. Whew!! I was holding Jax telling him we might have to take him back and Bruce says "NO!". LOL
But lesson learned. Bruce now keeps important things like that away from that edge of the table. :D Thanks Jax!!

We have to replace the front-window drapes that came with the apartment. They are all full of rips from bad boys and girls climbing and quarrelling. I'm thinking in terms of sail canvas...

I no longer do blinds for this exact reason. lol We have curtains and roll up material blinds. :D

We have blinds, but they are the wide slats and look like wood. So they do not bend and break easily like the plastic or metal ones that are narrow slats.
Actually, we do have these narrow ones on three windows but two of those three windows the blinds are always up, unless we are not home for days. They have never messed with them. Maybe because they have three sliding glass doors to see out of that have vertical blinds.

I still think they didn't do it. :p

Oh my gosh. I have two words for you........Vertical blinds.:)
They work great & the kitties can look out all they want & not damage
them. I use them in my living room.

I have the horizonal blinds in my bedroom too & they are taped on the
bottom half, not from kitties but from doggie paws grabbing them as they
jump up to look out the back window.

I have vertical, not horizontal, blinds. Kittyproof!:D My boyfriend has the horizontal kind and his spare room French Doors look like your kitchen blinds. NOT good.

Sorry, I couldn't help but LOL on that one! :D ;)

I leave all but 2 of my blinds up 1/2 way most of the time. Sasha only plays with them when she wants my attention, which is usuallyi n the middle of the night!

Silly kittens. I hope they are able to gain your trust back soon and be allowed to join in other kitty fun!

Cassie used to tap on my blinds when she wanted them open so she could look out the window.

Chip and Chuck, you two stinkers! Don't climb the blinds!

Oh my! Oh my! How could that have happened???:D:rolleyes::D Just an accident mom - destroy mission gone bad:confused:

I am in the process of changing bedroom blinds - this time I'm going with 2" WOOD plantation blinds! Can't bend them - can't break them - can't leave 2" of kitty fluff that is impossible to clean on them :D:D:D Wish me luck!!

Isn't kittenhood grand :D

Oh! My God! Chip and Chuck? That is so bad of you!

Chip (to meowmie): We iz know you're upset about blinds, but they werent what we was after. you should thank God that we iz not rip the curtains.

Chuck: Shootz! I was just about to take a bitey of the curtains, but meowmie was come in!
:p

Chip Chuck, you better show meowmie begging big black eyes, with a sad face, so she can un-ground you ;):p

Wow!!! I thought that my Alani & Blaze were little terrors. I used to have those same type of metal blinds but Pearl tore them up when she was a kitten so I now have the roll up shades. They aren't kitten/cat proof but they're a lot better than the metal blinds. I'm sure that if I let Alani & Blaze into the bedrooms that they'd also tear up my shades too. Good luck with your little black tornados.;)

Groucho the Lawyer is away with his Catmobile friends celebrating New Year's Eve and he isn't aware of this yet. Chip and Chuck will be missed on future Catmobile trips but when Meowmie says no, it's NO!

Maybe they are innocent or were acting in self defense against some nasty intruder?

Not likely. Chip loves to jump. He can jump into my freezer from a standing position on the floor. It is on top of the fridge. Maybe he should consider a carreer in the circus?

Maybe they could earn enough to buy you some new blinds. It's only fair.:)

I just had to come back to view the "scene of the crime" one more time.
Wow, Chip & Chuck , Groucho is going to have his hands full defending you
guys on this one.:D

I'm afraid Groucho won't be able to help Chip out this time. He was caught in the act this morning, by me!!!! He just took a small run and up he went. He was having a grand time swinging until I threw and empty medicine bottle at him. Not to hit him, just to get his attention. Then he knew the jig was up and ran and hid behind the dryer.

I used to wonder when I went by some houses why the blinds were cracked open a few inches. Then I got cats! Even now a few are cracked open also for the dogs. If someone sees in, so be it.;)
My RB Sassy, when she was a kitten, used to climb up in the window and jump through the top of the blinds like she was supercat!:D I can't believe I got a second cat after her!:p
It looks like your two little ones had a good time.;)

I don't have curtains because Sam climbs them. But I didn't have any cat trees when Sam was doing that. Perhaps I can put some up now.

The blinds that I have that are whole are ones that are raised/open so cats can see out the windows. The others are missing a a few slats.
