Beautiful tree and decorations, Lut!

I LOVE  your cat cabinet! I have zillions of little cat figurines all over my place.. in fact, they just about fill up two bookcases.. and meanwhile I have piles of books all over the floor because there's nowhere else to put them..

In fact, I'm trying to find new homes for most of them.. otherwise I think I'll have to move to a bigger apartment! And of course, new ones do still show up from time to time!

I gave several to a woman who has started up a new low-cost spay-neuter service for this area, which she put in their silent auction fundraiser.. and they brought in some $100!

And I have been giving many to a friend, a volunteer at our cat shelter, who is on the Board of Directors of the Jazzpurr Society, a cat shelter and rescue service in Windsor, Ontario.. they have many yard sales and flea markets and auctions to raise money.. so we are helping out some Canadian cats too!

If you'd like an addition for your cabinet, Lut.. (and anyone else?) ... or have any other leads for worthy cat-helping causes which might like to have some of my little tchotchkes (sp?) as decorations and/or fundraisers.. please let me know!

This is my tree - I hope it stays this way as I am not sure whether Napoleon is a tree climber:) so far he has thoroughly enjoyed playing with unbreakable
balls he stole from the basket I was using to hold the decorations while I trimmed the tree but hasnt knocked any down yet.

GREAT thread, Lut, thank you for starting it!

I loved seeing your tree, very pretty. And the decorating, wow, that is super! The Gabriels Girls leave it all alone??? I would expect them to play with the garland around the TV!

And Lilith, thanks for adding yours. Great job!

I shall return to this thread and post my tree shortly; I do have pics from 4 nights back, before it was "done," so I need to take a photo of it now.

Here is our tree......for now. So far Jax has knocked a few ornaments off. He has not climbed it and I hope he doesn't.

This looks a little different now. I took the picture then Bruce added some things to it.

Here are the "kids" stockings. I even included DJ and Taz. They are right below the boxes their remains are in.

This is in the studio. I was glad I could put my purple ornaments somewhere. They are glass so they could not go on the tree.

This is the view to show the window decor. The big red bulb was my prop when I was Cindy Lou Who for Halloween a couple years ago.

And this is on our front door, along with white blinky lights shining through the side lights.

Wow, sorry the pictures came out so big. I don't use photobucket very often and they've changed things. I'm not used to it.

I hang my furkids stockings up on my curtain rod across the big window in the livingroom. Due to recent surgeries I can't put them up, until, Dec 17th.;) I also include my RB furkids stockings and even put stockings on my bigger fish tanks!:D Maybe I'll post a pic when I put them up!

Everyones decorations are just wonderful!!!

My 4 girls are so great!! They have never ever touched any of the ornaments & garlands! The only thing they do sometimes is having a nap on the soft rug under the tree:) Aren't they supergirls!??

Lut, you are so lucky! This year for the first time, my cats had a blast UNdecorating my tree, for the first week or so. The past few days they have left it along; guess the novelty wore off.

This year is a dog / cat theme, with most of the dogs being . . . bichons. I know that comes as a huge surprise! LOL There are rescue ornaments on there, I have quite a few of them as well.

I order the stockings at PetCareRX.com. Way back when I ordered DJ, Taz and Zoee's they had sizes to choose from. I ordered the wrong size for Zoee. She should have a big one. But she will still get the same gift even if it doesn't fit. :p
This year I completely forgot about getting Jax's. I ordered it at the beginning of December and it was here in just a few days with no extra charge for shipping. :)

I just love seeing everyone's tree's and decorations. :D

My wife loves to decorate for all season's, but Christmas is her favorite. We have so many decorations she has to rotate them from year to year. After decorating ever room we still have closets full of decorations.

Thank You for the complement on our fireplace. I think it looks nice myself.
Last year the Big reef was made with Christmas tree balls.

I can't take any credit for any of the decorations but the tree. last year my wife bought a prelite tree. Well before the season was over whole strings started burning out. I told her to wait until after Christmas and buy up LED lights and I would replace all of the 1000 bulbs with LED. She bought many strings of LEDs so I spend many nights taking all the old strings off and putting the new strings on. PROBLEM!!! The LEDs she boughts were white but were Cool white and a little bigger. So the tree was way to bright and it looked blue. I took all the lights off again. Both times they were tie-wrapped on. I replaced the cool white strings with a warm white and the results is what you see. If she decides next year she wants a live tree again I will Kill her.:D

LOL Kokopup! Lights on the tree are always my husband's job too; everything else is mine except to direct him to put things up high when I cannot reach:D I am 4ft 10 and he is 6ft 3:p

Everyone's trees and decorations look so lovely. Thanks for sharing then with us all!
