This shelter is trying REALLY HARD to win the $100,000 grant from Pepsi. Only the TOP FINISHER in this category wins and last cycle, they fell short at #2 (which is where they are now again). Please take a minute to vote for them everyday. I've read several posts from them and it sounds like they are in dire need of a new building or they will have to close and hundreds of animals will have to be put to sleep.

It only takes a few minutes to register and vote. Then you can vote everyday. For those of you already voting in the USA version, you have to re-register for Canada's.

I have tried to vote on dial up, but it freezes my computer.
I will try tomorrow at the Library.

It just took me around 5 minutes to vote. Yes...it does seem to be a very slow loading page. Thanks for trying :) Your post made me smile....I wish I could open a rescue too  Have you ever seen the video of the cat waking up it's owner with a baseball bat? I'll have to find it and re-post it...so funny...and true.

i'll vote as soon as i can.today.and every day.
i did see the baseball cat one but it has been a very long time...i hope you post it again so we can get a good laugh:D

I just found this one too: (Moon broke the screen to get in once when I left him outside and Bean is an expert on coming to the door but running away when I open it)

What I do is click the link and then let it load for a few minutes before I click anything on the page or it will freeze.

I can't get the site to give me a VOTE button today although I had no problem on the US site. They are still in second place, behind the vacations for dialysis patients. Also on the $100,000 list is a project in Kelowna, BC and I think there is a PTer who lives in that city. Why, oh, why can only one project get the money?

I don't know why there are so many less prizes in the CA version :(

Hi, me again, (virtually) standing on my chair and shouting: After today there are only three days left! So, please, VOTE!! Make like a real Chicagoan, vote early and often!
