I was very sad to hear on the news this morning that Ron Santo passed away in Arizona. He played third base for the Cubs from 1960 to 1973 and had been a broadcaster for the team since 1990. He did a ton of work on behalf of the Illinois chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Cubs retired his number (10), but he was never elected to the Hall of Fame. So this is a sad loss for Cubs fans. Mr. Santo, I hope you are clicking your heels together in heaven this morning. (And if you could have a chat with God about the curse...)

The funniest thing I remember about RS were the Cubs logos on his prosthetics.

Well Done, Mr Santo.:)
