Their deaths have reportedly been confirmed. Our thoughts and prayers go put to their freinds and families, and to all of New Zealand at this time. And we'll say a prayer as well, for every miner and mother, father, son and daughter whose loved one works in a mine, as every day, they know the worst could happen, yet they carry on.

All of New Zealand is in deep mourning today, i only just heard the news last night myself, i did not know anyone, but i feel so sad today, i just cannot believe what has happened, they were all so young, the youngest was only 17 and his first day on the job, there were miners who were about to be married, one with a baby on the way, one with two young children, two scots, and many others, 29 lives just gone like that, there was some hope at one stage, but then in the next instant it was all over.

Now they have to concentrate and try to bring back the bodies of their loved ones.

unfortunately the outcome was grim from the start, but with the second explosion it was inevitable that the miners have perished.

Please continue with me to lend your support by means of prayers and messages to the families and friends of the miners, thank you.

A very sad, sad, day here downunder.

I agree with what Karen wrote.
