I am doing a photo-shoot at a friend's Halloween party tomorrow night and he wanted me to dress up so I figured, since I am carrying a camera around, I am going to dress up as a Nerd. I will be wearing glasses (with taped up in the middle), tube socks, tennis shoes or any goofy shoes I might find, suspenders, white button up tshirt (or a Star Wars/Spongebob/something.. that I can find), and plaid pants/or skirt. I will be adding freckles on my face, no makeup, but blush will be added on my face, and I will have pigtails. I *might* have a "Kick Me" sign taped on my back. I am actually looking forward to it. :) What are you going to be?

I am going to be a football player. No specific team or anything. But the funny part is.....my boyfriend is going to be a cheerleader! LOL So our "team" is red, white and blue colors. :D

I'm going to be at home - watching TV. We don't even have anyone come for candy.

My best costume ever was the year I dressed as a hockey puck - and I made it myself.

LOL, do you have any pictures of that??

No - it was probably 30 years ago.

What I did - took 2 hula hoops and covered them with black fabric. Made a logo out of white fabric - Property of the NHL - and sewed it to the front hoop. I joined the hoops with more fabric - so it was like a sandwich board.

Wore black sweater and slacks underneath. Had to turn sideways to go through doors - but it was a big hit, and relatively simple to make.

@ Grace- that was pretty brilliant! Might keep that in mind for later years.

I don't dress up. J will be Darth Vader, and is so excited about Halloween. We have yet to make it off our street,he gets SO much candy. We have a few special stops to make, like the guy's house at the bus stop (who gives Jasper treats every day), but other than that, we do our street and then come home and hand out candy.

Halloween seems more fun these days. All the adults kind of hang out and yak, and occasionally enjoy an adult beverage, different than when I was a kid, where it seemed just for kids.

I'm going as a crazy cat lady...lol

I have a housecoat that my friend decorated with cat heads, cat toys and cat tails and I will be wearing cat head slippers and I have 2 stuffed cats that I will be wearing on my head. I will also be carrying around a bunch of stuffed animal cats :p

I'm going to be out of the house! Actually, we haven't had kids here for years. The houses are too far apart for young kids to walk. The areas around us are semi detached and easier for the kiddies. Rumor has it that my block sucks. (Hey! I always gave out full size candy bars!) I'm going to my niece's. She has a gazillion kids in her area and decorated her house with awesome stuff and mechanical mummies etc. Always a big hit.

Goth girl with my funky boots and a black wig. Think a little bit Abbey. Also have some cute fingerless gloves with fur at the top.

I won't be dressing up. I also don't have any children that will be coming to my door for candy. I live in a condo complex and very few children live here. The buildings are security buildings so you'd have to live here to get in and knock on the doors. It'll just be another regular day for me.

I was thinking about doing that too as all I'd have to do is walk out of the house in my club clothes! :p For me, it's not a costume, but everyone else thinks it is!

We had trick or treat last night and a halloween party yesterday morning at Hannah's preschool and then they have trick or treat at the mall on sunday.

So for her halloween party and for mall trick or treating she is snow white

But it was WAAAAAAAAAY to cold out last night to wear that costume so we just happened to have a back up Elmo costume that is much warmer. so that's what she was last night

This guy makes me laugh so hard, I call him Four, because he is like a fourth son to me.
We are always giggling and doing slap slick in the office. He will come in and say to me
"Morning Butt Breath" and I will reply back, "Morning Butt Face.
I have to bake for him, I said "Jack doesn't your wife bake? "Sure but it is not as good as from mom" Meaning me, his second mom.
He has a heart of gold. This is the young man who saw the homeless person who was living in his car, Jack went back into the grocery store and bought this guy food. Took him to his home, gave him a cooler and ice to keep the drinks cold.
I adore this kid.

This young women is super super intelligent, a Dr in the making. Kind, sweet, funny. She is totally engrossed in school work not parties or boys. She wants to make something of herself not just get married and have babies but save lives. She is a great model for young women every where.

What nice caring person Jack is. It is always fun to work with people that have a good sense of humor. What do they say, Laughter is the Best Kind of Medicine. Marigold you look like an private investiagator.
I found some old pioneer dresses in the basement at work, along with a pioneer bonnet & I have a pair of black braids. For my grandson only I plan to dress up & be a pioneer granny in the confines of my own home. He is my one & only trick or treater. :)

My "other costume" - which I told my friend the Etiqueteer - is I will just dress as I normally do, and if anyone asks, tell them I am dressed as a "Fashion Don't" - and dare them to argue!

I've dressed up as a devil, an angel, a belly dancer, a peacock, a unicorn, and a cat just to name a few. Here's a picture of me as a cat many years ago.

I get to work all day in costume tomorrow so it will be fun. I'm going to be a black cat...big surprise! LOL!
Karen, You should paint a black bar across your eyes like the "Glamour Don'ts" in the magazine! LOL!

I actually went out in fancy dress on Friday night to a Hallowe'en party; tonight I'm opting for scary movie night. :)

I covered my vet labcoat in blobs of red lipstick and went as a crazy surgeon!

I'm loving all the pics! Last year I was an escaped inmate. I bought some orange scrubs and decorated the top appropriately on the back. Already had handcuffs so wore them on one wrist. Here's the best part: I got permission to get a real pair of jail shoes. They're called sliders, apparently. So when I was out at the bar, I knew who had been in jail because they recognized my shoes :D It was so much fun! Sort of like being undercover. There was one young guy in a DOC (Dept. of Corrections) jumpsuit (I wonder if it was real?) who wanted to be cuffed to me and photographed. So of course I complied. Here's the pic. I had to take out his face since I didn't know him. Was a huge amount of fun. I just acted like I'd been in jail. I had a blast.

Glad to see the creative juices are flowing in my fellow PTers! You all look great.
I swear, everyone has lost their originality where I live. I think a good portion of the people I saw were just wearing trashbags.

Then again, I can't really talk. Halloween was celebrated last night, but I was pretty lazy this year and just used stuff laying around to scrounge something together. There are a few photos here (http://thefabrication.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/happy-halloween/).

She was a robot - you can't really see the body of the outfit in that picture, but she was wearing an evian water box cleverly designed with tin foil and bottlecaps! :D
