Is that a common occurrence, or was it a "once every 100 years" sort of thing? It's all so durned flat!

Oh no....not a 100 year thing.
It rains out there in the centre.....not much, but it does.
Because it's so flat, and if they get too much rain, it doesn't take long for the water to cover almost everything.
You notice in the pics tho, that any houses are usually built on any small rise of the ground surface that is available (not many of those out there) :D
