This year, the fall came early. Summer started late, was very extreme in July, but faded quickly after that. It's very autumn-like already, and rainy. It's sad.

Gorgeous. I love autumn, and those pictures bring to mind a speech that struck me as so true and well-written, from a science fiction series back in 1995. So long ago, but I still remember it, and the character was played by Kristen Cloke, who has a fairly low, husky voice for a woman, and spoken straight out, not at all emotional:

Sundays this time of year, I used to lay in bed and watch the morning football game. And then I'd go out when the sun was just ... right. Golden. Autumn. I grew up in San Diego, and people say that there are no change of seasons in California, but... there are. I could always feel it. Always. There is just this... cold, inevitable edge in the air. The light, the colors... it's as if the Earth were letting you know that Summer was gone. There's no getting it back. Winter's coming and there's nothing that you can do to escape it. A lot of people say that they fall in love in the Spring. Not me. I always fell in love in Autumn. It is just the most... romantic... sexy... desperate...

Kirsten,

I love when you post pictures. They are SO crisp, clear and clean. Ever thought of making cards with your pictures on them? I think they'd sell and I, for one, would buy some!!!;)

As usual you've captured the very essence of the meaning of the pictures. I just love your pictures, they should be in magazines, cards or anywhere else so people from all over could admire them.

Thanks everyone! :)

Yeah, I was considering this postcard thing, but it costs a lot of money to have them printed, that's why I haven't done it so far. :o

Maybe you should consider making an account on CafePress.com (http://CafePress.com) - they don't do postcards, but they do notecards and other products that you could design with your photos, and they only get printed when people buy them, so you don't spend money up front.

I certainly think you should talk to a local gallery about doing a show, ask what it would cost you, etc. Your photos are certainly print-worthy.
