My New Kitty! Update on Ninja! Post 33 Pictures!

Hi Everyone!

It's been awhile! I don't have a working computer so I don't get to go on here much, but I had to find a way to come on and tell you that I am moved out and I am getting a kitten today!

I was originally looking for a chocolate point siamese that would look very similar to Bobo, and then I started thinking that maybe I shouldn't get a cat that looks just like Bobo because I may unknowingly expect the cat to be like Bobo. And it's not good to expect your pet to be the same as a previous one because they are all different, and I could just disappoint myself by doing that.

Anyway, so I started looking online for some siamese kittens and I found some adorable half Himalayan half Siamese kittens! I drove an hour and a half to go down and look at the kittens and I fell in love with the only male lynx point kitten :) I put a deposit on him and I had to wait a few more weeks until he was ready to go. But today is the day that I am heading in to pick the little cutie up! I am so excited! I can't wait to see him and how much he has grown, how long his fur is, and get to know him and love him :) I hope that this little kitten will love me too!

I will definately be trying to come back on and post pictures as soon as possible.

Hope to talk to everyone soon and pray I'll have computer access so I can let you all know about him and show pictures :D

Wow thanks so much for your interest everyone! I have had my little kitty home for awhile now. He is some cute. He is still pretty scared but I guess you should expect that when I just took him away from the only place he knew. He has slept most of the day. I figure because he wants to block out the world right now lol I haven't been able to get him to drink anything. I've gotten him to eat a couple of treats and a piece of balogna. He must have took them because they taste good.

When I let him go on the floor after awhile he will start meowing and when I go to see him or pick him up he hisses at me. Is this normal? It's been a long time since Ive had a kitten. But I hope he trusts me soon. The funny thing is that once I have him he certainly doesn't mind sleeping on me.

I'm really sorry. I got some great pictures but I won't be able to post them until I can use my moms laptop tomorrow I am typing this on an iPod.

He was born July 11th.

What do you think of his behavior. Is it normal?

Oh and yep Kalypso lives with me now :) she has been great. I love having her with me again. When I brought the kitten home Kalypso just hissed at him and ran away and she is just hiding ever since.

Thats it for now. I hope you all liked them. I finally got him to eat today. I bought him some wet food and he ate that, but he still hasn't drank any liquid..that worries me. He hasn't pooed yet either. Other than that he is doing well.

He slept with me all night last night. I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling and crying because he was sleeping with me just like Bobo always did. It made me so so happy. He also likes to sleep under the blankets with me too. He has stopped hissing at me when I go to get him too.

Kalypso on the other hand is not taking him too well. She slept in the cold kitchen last night and today I went into the bathroom with both of them to get them to see each other, but it still didn't work. Kalypso still hissed, growled, and even spat at him :( Poor little guy, I hope she lightens up soon and likes him.

If it makes you feel any better, I've had my kitten (Jax) for almost 3 months now and Paizly (2 years old) still hisses, growls, snorts and swats at him. She plays with him, but it ends with her getting pissy with him. :rolleyes:
I'm not giving up hope that some day they will be cuddle buddies!! And I'm sure your two will as well. :)

Oh, and he is darn adorable!!! :D :D

What a great little Cat of the Future, a regular Little Munchkin of a Kitten.
Mr Scrappy and Pouncer also fought fior a few months , but ended up as great friends.
I was lucky in the past to have great Cat Mentors like Moose, Joseph and Bo Bo who welcomed the New Arrivals in, and made them feel at home.
Hopefully Kalypso will warm up to the New Arrival soon.

Wow!!!! He's sooooo adorable!!!:D It's wonderful that he'll sleep with you at night.:) I don't let my two kittens in my bedroom much at all yet because they want to get into everything. They sleep in the main part of my condo where ever they want to.

You just need to take the introductions slowly. I've found that males are usually more accepting of newbies than females. Even though both of my females will play with the kittens and also lick their heads and bottoms, they will also still growl, hiss, and swat at them too. My males will lick them and seem to tolerate them much better. I'm sure in time that Kalypso will learn to like him or at least tolerate him. Good luck.:)

He's a Lynx Point Himalayan Siamese Mix. She said he's half Himalayan and half Siamese and his points are lynx which means he'll have tabby markings on his tail, legs, face etc. like my Pearl does. He'll also get darker as he matures just like my Pearl did.

Oh, he's just gorgeous! How nice that he sleeps under the covers w/you; I know how happy that must make you. As for not getting along w/your other kitty, no worries. It takes time; just keep introducing them a little bit each day, take it slowly and it'll work out. Before you know it, they'll be cuddling together. Keep the faythe. :love:

Thanks so much everyone! Last night he didn't sleep in my arm but he still slept around us :) I guess that's better than nothing. I know maybe Im asking for alot but I just wish that he would be cuddly like my Bobo was but I know I shouldn't expect that. Right now he is sleeping in a dust pan instead of on me :( I wish there was a way to make them cuddly lol but I was never able to make Kalypso cuddly.

Update on Ninja

Anyways, it took me a very long time to post all the wedding pics here, now for my Ninja. I realize that my last post on my kitten he didn't have a name...well we went for Ninja and it suits him so well. Anyways here are some pictures of him growing up.

Well, I hope you liked the pictures. Sorry for the poor quality of the last ones, I took them with my Blackberry. Ninja has definately grown, but still has lots of growing to do. I think he is going to be such a beautiful cat. His markings have darkened and became more prominent and his tail is getting poofier.

I have bonded so much with my Ninja. He has turned into a kitty that wants nothing else except attention. He is a very dependant kitty and the best part of all...is that I feel like he was just meant for me, maybe even sent for me by Bobo. Who knows..but he is so much like Bobo its crazy and I love him so so so much. I don't know how I would live without him now. He cuddles constantly, sleeps with me, no matter where I am or what I am doing in the house, he needs and wants to always be there and see what I am doing. He always wants me to pick him up and he talks to me all the time.

To sum it up...he is half himalayan, but his personality is pure siamese! :D I am so glad because siamese are the cats that I just love. They say if you want a cat that is like a dog, you get a siamese lol and it's so true. Ninja is such a peach recker lol I know he is just a kitten and that's why but he gets into and plays with EVERYTHING! It's so funny to watch him though.

Anyways I've written a novel. I hope you enjoyed seeing and hearing about Ninja again!

Ninja says thank you everyone :) katladyd, they get along to the point of being able to live together, but I don't think Kalypso likes him that much still. He always jumps on her and bites her, and whenever he does that she hisses,growls,and makes noises like he is hurting her. I know he probably does hurt her sometimes, but she has a sassy attitude so sometimes I wonder if she is overreacting. She might not like him because he is so young and hyper too. But she will never hurt him back.

I think she will like him a lot more when he is older,fixed, and calmer lol but for now he is a little terror lol
