I saw the Space Station pass overhead last night. What a sight!!

It'll pass over North America again this evening around 8:50 p.m.

To see if it'll pass over your area in the next couple of nights, go here:

Cool! I won't be able to look tonight, but maybe tomorrow night! Here's hoping for clear skies!

It's supposed to be clear as can be tonight, so I'll try to check it out.

Dude,

The other night we had a 4 minute pass that was incredible.

Some good tips?

Your hand made into a fist covers approx 10 degrees of height.

So, at an approach of 40 degrees from the west?

Look west, make a fist and extend it in front of you, Line the bottom of your fist on the horizon line, thumb up.

The top of your fist is 10 degrees off the horizon, "stack" three more fists on top and that is about 40 degrees up.

good luck.

The moon was specatular last night! Unfortunately, I didn't see the space station. You were also supposed to see Mars but I didn't.

Nope. Living in the "Land of the Midnight Sun" we don't really have night. If it's still in position, we'll be able to see it in a few months.

No, you weren't supposed to see Mars. That was the same hoax someone pulled in 03. If you go to Snopes you can read all about it. Someone's idea of a joke I guess...

Yes! It was visible from our front yard for about 3 minutes. Way cool. We can see it again tonight.

During the next shuttle mission you can see both the ISS and shuttle,
When they chase each other down you can see them both on the same orbit, tracking each other across the sky.

When the Russkies send up a resupply rocket you can see that running around up there!
